TRANSLUCENCE
I got my sample bottles today for Squid Spit*. I’m excited to see what they will look like with the labels on them. My samples are of 3 translucent colored bottles; amber, blue, and green. I just realized that the amber bottle is already used by the hair product company ‘CREW’. Those son-of-a-guns. So, I may use the green one.

T’GIVING
Well… Mary and I drove all the way to Michigan (12.5 hours there and 13.5 back)! It was fun, but the snow storm didn’t make it easy. While we were in Grand Rapids Mary got the royal tour. She had never been to the midwest or Great Lakes at all and I think she really liked it. We even went to Lake Michigan so she could see it actually IS like the ocean, and not a pond. We had some serious poker parties and got to visit with my Memere and Nick. All in all it was pretty fun filled and action packed.

SQUID SPIT
I have been thinking about doing this for years… creating a hair gel that is all natural and still holds well. So I finally made some this weekend. After a couple tries I got it down. The first try made my hair rock hard. But anyways.. I am looking into having it sold at local salons at first and after that test market, having Walmart, Walgreens, and Meijer carry it if possible. I am also looking into getting it on the home shopping network or QVC. They need to see that it will sell which is why I am doing the local test markets first. Its made mostly of aloe, with some vitamins to promote healthy hair… It works great, and with the cool marketing behind it I think it could do well. I’ve sourced the bottles and materials needed to make it too.

NEW WEBSITE
Mary has a website now… MixinVixens.com. Its pretty shneato. I made it look pretty cool, a mix between masculine and feminine and a kick-ass logo which should look pretty sweet embroidered on polo shirts. I think Mary’s business will pick up when she is able to refer potential catering companies to her website.

I BEARD WHAT YOU SAID
I’m growing a thanksgiving beard in memory of all the poor little turkey’s that will be sacrificed this holiday season. I actually really like how it looks on me and once it gets past the excruciatingly annoying ‘itching stage’ I might consider keeping it for awhile.

CELL PHONE BANDIT

KAZAKHSTAN’S PISSED
Although I think Sacha Cohen’s sophomoric humor is hilarious, he does sometimes take it a bit far. But I don’t think his portrayel and a kazakhstani journalist is something that the president of Kazakhstan needs to be getting pissed about. This article about Sacha Cohen’s character “Borat” is interesting… if you’ve ever seen ‘Borat’ let me know what you think.
