TOOKIE TOOK LIVES
Am I going crazy or am I seriously witnessing masses of people crying over the execution of a convicted mass murderer? Are people forgetting that no matter what the Crips co-founder did after being convicted, he was in fact convicted for the murder of at least 4 people? Not to mention the fact that he was the co-founder of a street gang that has probably murdered hundreds if not thousands of defenseless people?

I do not understand why Jessie Jackson has to incite racism by defending every minority whether they are innocent or not. Does anyone else think this whole thing is ludicrous? Does Jessie Jackson have any sort of moral agenda other than getting his face on tv? I’m not sure if the death penalty is right or wrong, but it is the law, and when you kill someone, the punishment in some states is death. Writing children’s books is not going to help you.

P.S. Jessie Jackson, a reverend, professes to be Mr. Morality; ‘peaceful’ defender of African American’s rights… but a lot of people are forgetting Mr. Morality is not exactly what he professes to be.

You’re right! What right does Jessie have to talk about and defend the rights of blacks when he had extra-marital sex!? I wish he would look in the mirror and see that he is not a champion of rights, but a man with such a loathsome past he does not deserve to beg for the lives of others. For shame!

As for Mr. Williams, I echo your cries for restraint of our own moral compasses. We should not be against his death. He killed “thousands” of people – I’m sure they just didn’t find the bodies – and the trial court system of California, in its infinite wisdom, has spoken and said that this man should die. Putting people to death in California and other states has been around since lynching – and you know they had a good thing going on. Am I right?

We should cheer his death! Or, if not cheer, at least watch his execution with a sense of reverence that justice has been done. He will certainly never kill again. Just think, if the anti-death elitists had their way old Tookie would be back on the streets in no time “bangin’” it up – killing thousands more.

What’s that? The protesters were not asking for his release? Or pleading his innocence? Just saying, as a “moral” issue that the death penalty should not be used like so many other third-world nations? Oh.

But I’m sure you won’t post this, “moderator.”

Had it been your mother, would you feel the same? What about your wife? Your child? I doubt your high and mighty self would be calling for a man, who so vicously killed others and created a nation where our kids can no longer walk down the street wearing “blue” or “red,” to be spared. I believe,in that case, you would be injecting Tookie yourself. Tookie cost this nation more than we will ever know. I am sorry, but I would prefer that my tax dollars not pay for a slimeball to sit in prison for 40 more years.

I disliked resorting to the bullying tatic to get my post posted (too many posts). For that I apologize.

    Anonymous,

Maybe you should take a second to read through my posting again. I stated the facts. I never said that Tookie should or shouldn’t have received the death penalty. I simply stated that the murders he was convicted in a court of law legally resulted in the death penalty. I also said that the gang he started has since killed hundreds if not thousands of people, not Tookie himself.

As far as my comments about Jessie Jackson go… what are Mr. Jackson’s credentials? Well, he’s a minister. So if he has commited adultery and had children outside of his marriage, than yes, his integrity is compromised and why would anyone respect him for his leadership when he doesn’t practice what he preaches? This is not about race, this is about justice.
