ROCCO’S MOTORCYCLE
August 15th, 2006

This is the motorcycle my Italian cousin Rocco created. Rocco created this sculpture with spare screw and bolts and it really is quite impressive, especially when you get up close to inspect his handywork. So, I promised him I would try to find a market for his work in America. I found the perfect place to sell his work in Old Town Alexandria, where scupltures like this go for hundreds and thousands of dollars. So I asked the store for information on submitting artwork and thought we were on our way to making Rocco some money. And as it turns out, the very 1st rule the company had was that the artwork must be created in America. Which completely defeats the idea of why Rocco’s sculpture is so unique. So there goes that avenue. I’m still thinking about marketing his work online somehow…
