RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!
January 31st, 2007
I’ve often pondered the age-old question… Did anyone ever actually say ‘RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!’ during a stampede before Hollywood? And the answer my friends, as you will see in this clip is a resounding NO. Jank you very much.

BRAIN MAN
January 30th, 2007

This dude is unbelievable. He’s a prodigy who recently recited pi to more than 22,000 decimal points. It took over 5 hours and he didn’t make one mistake. The movie Rain Man was actually based on this guy’s life… watch the 60 minutes video on him here.

CRAZY DRIVERS IN CHINA
January 25th, 2007
I just watched a CNN report about new car drivers in China, it was crazy! It wasn’t until about 6 years ago that the Chinese really began buying cars for private use due to the drop in prices and the new found affluence of the people… so now, the streets are absolutely PACKED with cars.
But here’s the shocker… each day there are 600 traffic related deaths. Yes, you read that right, 600! And each day there are 1,000 new cars registered. So, over half of the amount of people that register cars every day, die in their cars every day. That is some crazy ish.

Of the Misheard Lyrics I found on this site, some of my favorites come from the song ‘Linger’ by the Cranberries.
Misheard: “Do I have to smell your finger”
Actual: “Do you have to let it linger”
Misheard: “You know I’m searching food for you”
Actual: “You know I’m such a fool for you”
Misheard: “I’m such a gooseberry oooh!”
Actual: “I’m such a fool for you”

This was posted by some dude in a forum I frequent, such an unfortunate loss.
“With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, It is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.
Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote “The Hokey Pokey” died peacefully at the age of 83. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.”

I was on the metro this morning, standing like I always do and looking out the window. All of a sudden somewhere between Metro Center and Chinatown, I saw the coolest ‘flipbook’ style advertisement for Target out the window. It was so cool, we were going probably 45 miles an hour and all of a sudden you see what looks like a tv commercial outside of the car on the walls. As it turns out, it is a series of lightboxes mounted on the walls of the metro and as you pass them at a certain speed you get somewhere around probably 10 frames/second. Here’s a video someone shot of a Lincoln ad on the metro(you might have to click on the picture or hit enter to get it to work.

Click image to see bigger! This random Ad generator is hillary-arious. Apparently they take words and semantic structures used in real corporate advertisements to generate these random ads, paired with random images. The squirrel one was my favorite.
