GAS PRICES

Why is it that the entire country was FREAKING out about gas prices shooting up a year and a half ago when it was around $2.90… but now that its over $4 everyone seems to sit back and take it? It obvious the oil industry can do whatever they want with the prices without dissent. And what’s up with predictions in the news always low balling… like in the Washington Post today it says gas prices are expected to climb 3% by the end of the year when It’s already gone up like 35% this past year. Uhhhhhh.

I thought this story was pretty interesting… starving artists shoot music video using government (CCTV) surveillance cameras, then work the system by taking advantage of the “data protection act” to demand the footage - it kinda combines my disdain for Big Brother and love of pushing the envelope artistically…
